INTRODUCTION TO EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

How do students learn? What can teachers do to ensure that students learn? How can we fairly assess
student learning? Educational psychology addresses questions concerning teaching and learning in educational
settings. EDUC 220 is an introductory course intended as a survey of major concepts, theories, and research in
educational psychology. Major topics in the course include: learning, development, intellectual abilities and
disabilities, diversity, instructional approaches, studying strategies, motivation, and assessment
