DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for pre-service educators and will focus on the psychological theories and practices
teachers need to create positive learning communities in their classrooms. Topics such as developmental and
social learning theories, intelligence, the brain and learning, classroom management and discipline and
addressing individual differences within a classroom and school setting will be covered.
Required reading:
Handouts from various sources (charge for copying collected in the first class)
