1. Statement regarding the proposed program changes:
As requested by the Dean of Graduate Studies, Communication is amending the MA
Thesis course so that the MA program completes in 30 units as opposed to the
current 26 units.
2. Statement as to how this change will affect the existing program
This change will only affect the number of credits granted for CMNS 898 MA Thesis.
3. Justification for change
This will benefit the existing program and the students by ensuring that they are
eligible to apply to
Ph.D. programs that require completion of MA programs of at
least 30 credits. This change is requested at the suggestion of the Dean of Graduate
studies.
