At

the January 8, 2007 Senate meeting, responsibility was changed in GP 35 for the

named recognition of Chairs and Professol'Ships (4.2) from SCUH to SCUP but did not

change section 4.3b. To

align

the two sections of the policy, it is recommended that

4.3b also be changed transferring the responsibility for advice from SCUH to SCUP.

Given the nature of SCUH and its meeting schedule, the present policy does not allow

for timely response for the named recognition of academic units.

Motion

That Senate approve and recommend to the Board of Governors the revision of GP 35

which substitutes the Senate Committee on University Priorities for the Senate

Committee on University Honours in section 4.3b of the policy.
