RATIONALE:
The intention of DIAL 460 has been
to
offer a seminar course that uses dialogue to connect
public issues, and that is open
to
upper-level students across the university. The change
in
prerequisites will
make
the course more accessible, and increase our ability
to
engage students
with public issues. There is no need for the C:MNS prerequisites, and CMNS
has
no objection to
the change. By retaining permission of instructor as a prerequisite, we can insure students have
appropriate
backgrounds.
Does
this
course replicate the content of a previously approved course
to
such an extent that
students should not receive credit for
both courses? If so, this should be noted
in
the pre-
requisite.
