Art and Technology Undergraduate Curriculum
Committee approved the following options for BA
degrees in FCAT:
• FCAT BA with two extended minors
• FeAT BA with a minor and an extended minor
• FCAT BA with two minors

Students
can meet the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in the Faculty of
Communication Art and Technology through one of the following five options: a major
program,
a joint major program, two extended minor proarams.
and
extended minor and a
minor pmeram. or two minor promms.
For all BA options at least 120 credit hours are required which include:
-at least
60 units that must be completed at SFU
-at least 4S upper division units, of which at least 30 upper division units must be completed
atSFU
-at least 65 units in FCA T courses
-satisfaction
of the writing, quantitative and breadth requirements of the University
-students choosing to complete the
BA degree with any of these options may satisfy the
breadth requirements with courses complete in either one
or both program areas
Minor and extended Minor Programs
Students wishing
to
prepare themselves in two program areas for the BA degree, but not
desiring to undertake a major or joint major
program, may complete a program consisting of
two extended
minors, an extended minor and a minor, or two minors, at least one of which
must
be in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology. Students interested in this
option must
meet with an undergraduate advisor in one of the
FeAT
Schools for academic
advising
and program approval.
A minor program requires at
least 15 upper division units within a single program area
unless otherwise specified
in the Calendar. An extended minor consists of the lower division
requirements for a major, plus the upper division requirements for a minor.
Requirements
in addition to those listed under the Bachelor of Arts degree in each School:

-21 upper division units taken in
FeAT
courses of which at least 12 must be completed at
SFU
-no more than 8 upper di vision units transferred from another institution may be used
toward an extended minor Of minor
