    HISTORY COURSE
    PAPER 4D
    FROM:
    REGISTRAR
    File:
    7-A-35
The History Department appointed a visiting professor for the
summer semester whose specialty was in an area for which the department
had not included courses in the 196667 Calendar. Unfortunately, the
course finally settled upon was not submitted to Senate for approval, nor
has it been submitted to the Faculty of Arts. In discussion with W. Williams,
the acting Head of History, it was agreed that
    Senate
    approval should be
sought now, so that the Registrar can grant credit to those students who
enrolled in the course this summer. This approval could be for this one
semester until the Faculty of Arts has had an opportunity to review the
    course.
