Regarding :1^ijr.on
Frase
r p l ans for the
summer of 1966
You
will
recall that at a
meetir,
7,
of the Committee of Heads a few weeks
ago, there was some discussion about the question of a
summer
session
being o
ff
ered at Simon
Fraser - a
summer
session
01
a
six
or elgnt
week variety.
It was the
consensus of the meeting that a
suimner session should not
be offered in 1966 but some concern
was expessed at that tiae
about
the effects that this decision might have on the needs oi' teachers in
the school system.
You will also remember that I agreed to prepare some notification that
0
might be sent to the teachers orgüzation so that they
could
be kept
fully informed
of our
plans and
intentions.
I would suggest that the attached drt letter
might
be sent. over
your signature to either Mr. Kenneth Aitcheson, Editor, B.C. Teacher
magazine, or to Mr. C.D. Ovans, General Secretary, B.C. Teachers Federation.
The address for both of these gentlemen is 1815 West 7th Avenue,
Vancouver 9.
