FOR CONSIDERATION OF SENATE
SUGGESTED AMENDIENT TO UNIVERSITY CALENDAR: 'STUDENT CONDUCTS?
-
The traditional purposes of a university are freedom of inquiry
and freedom of expression. Simon Fraser University was founded on these
principles. The University does not assume parental obligations nor
responsibilities, but relies on the home training and good sense of the
student in matters of personal conduct. Students are reminded, however,
that they are bound during their attendance to live in accordance with
University regulations and civil law, which apply to acadc]nlc standards and
University property, the respect of personal liberty and property, and
the public laws of the Province.
