Dear Senators,

The Senate Committee on Agenda and Rules met this afternoon and

determined there is insufficient material to hold the Senate meeting

on October 2. Therefore that meeting has been cancelled.

The next meeting of Senate will take place on Monday 6 November, 2000

in the normal location on the Burnaby campus. Agenda items and

papers for the November Senate are required by the Secretary by 11:30

am Thursday October 19, 2000. These items will be considered by the

Senate Committee on Agenda and Rules on Tuesday, October 24, 2000

with Senate distribution on Friday October 27, 2000.
