At the meeting of the Senate Committee on Agenda and Rules on

Tuesday, August 29, 1989 it was agreed that there were insufficient

agenda items to warrant the scheduling of the meeting of Senate on

Monday, September 11, 1989, and therefore the meeting has been

cancelled.

The next regular meeting of Senate is scheduled for Monday, October

2, 1989. Agenda items and papers for the October meeting will be

required by the Secretary of Senate by 4:30 p.m., Thursday,

September 14, 1989. These items and papers will then be

considered by the Senate Committee on Agenda and Rules on

Tuesday, September 19, 1989, with distribution on Friday,

September 22,

1989.

Senators are advised that the regular meeting date of Monday,

November 7, 1989 has been changed to Monday, October 30, 1989.

Agenda items and papers for the November meeting will be required

by the Secretary of Senate by 4:40 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 1989.

These items and papers will then be considered by the Senate

Committee on Agenda and Rules on Tuesday, October 17, 1989, with

distribution on Friday, October 20,

Convocation, October, 1990

The date Friday, October 12, 1990 has been selected for the first Fall

Convocation ceremony as part of the University's 25th Anniversary

celebrations.
