    Procedures for the Appointment
    of the Chancellor
    February 11. 2010
An amendment to the University Act of BC has changed the method by which the
Chancellor of the University is appointed from an election by the Convocation
    to
selection by the Board of Governors 011 nomination by the Alumni Association and after
    consultation with the
    Senate.
This change requires the Board to adopt new procedures for the appointment of the
    Chancellor. Attached
is a draft document setting out the process that is proposed. The
Board of Directors of the Alumni Association has endorsed this process.
Before submitting a final version to the Board for approval. I am forwarding it
    to Senate
    for information.
