RATIONALE:
This PBD program has not been offered for years because the Faculty of Education will no
longer mount one of its key courses, a practicum. The Linguistics Department has stated that
it
will mount the practicum itself, but this has not been accepted. However, the Faculty of
Education will not modify the program either; thus it exists in zombie form and misleads
students
by continuing to be in the calendar.
It
must go.
If
this course replicates the content of a previously approved course to the extent that students
should
not receive credit for both courses

this should be noted in the prerequisite.
