GRADUATE STUDIES.
The Senate Committee on Graduate Studies, on July 21,
1969,
following
submission of recommendations by The Executive Committee of that body,
passed the following motions, and requests that Senate approve these
motions as policy, effective commencing the results of the Fall Semester
69-3.
1.
"That the Senate Committee on Graduate Studies recommend to
Senate that for a student to receive a
graduate
degree from
the University he must have a cumulative grade point average
'of 3.0 or higher over all courses taken for the degree."
2.
"That the point values outlined on Paper GS-71 beadopted
and recommended to Senate for approval:- A 4 points,
B 3
points, P 2 points, F 0 points."
3.
"That in the absence of specific approval to the contrary by
he Senate Committee on Graduate Studies that a student be
required to maintain a
3.0
cumulative grade point average to
bontinue in a graduate program."
