At its meeting of 12 th
December 2005 Senate Graduate Studies Committee approved the
following curriculum and calendar changes in the Department of English:
Curriculum changes - the package presents an evolved and reformed graduate
curriculum - to complement the changes in faculty, and increasing demands for
the
coursework-based master's program, and for a doctoral program in line with other
Canadian universities.
The changes include:
• a revised calendar description for the Ph.D. program
• deletion of all 14 existing graduate courses
• 33 new graduate course proposals
