The Faculty of Arts, on April 16, passed the 

following resolutions:

That the following pattern for the 

classification of degrees be adopted: 

General Degree Honors Dearee Cumulative G.P,A.

A student in the honors program who fails to 

qualify for an honors degree can be awarded a general degree, 

provided that the latter would be determined on the 

basis of 120 credits, not 132 credits. 

A cumulative G.P.A. would be calculated on all 

courses making up the total, credits for the degree. 

This pattern of classification gives 

possible 

classes of degree. 

Faculty also resolved that this proposal be taken 

as the response of the Faculty of Arts on the question 

of classification of honors referred to this Faculty 

by Senate on April 1, also that it 

be

referred to the 

other faculties.
