To the Senate of Simon Fraser University:
S.92-62
.
Labour Day, B. C. Day, Thanksgiving, Easter Monday, and Victoria Day all occur on
Mondays and have a disruptive effect on Monday classes, especially classes which are held
only once per week. This problem is exa erbated in any semester during which a holiday
(notably Remembrance Day) falls nominally on a weekend day. We wish to recommend an
appropriate remedy for the latter avoidable problem.
