This is with reference to your memo of May 18, 1967 on the
the above subject.
At its meeting of July 25, 1967, the Faculty of Science passed
the following motions;
That the Faculty of Science endorse the recommendation
of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee "that there
be no change in the present grading system.
"That the motion be amended to read: That the Faculty
of Science recommend to Senate that there be no change
in the present letter grading system for a period of
5 years.

The Faculty of Arts recently ordered that a referendum ballot
be held on the division of the A and C letter grades in the undergraduate
grading system.
The results of the referendum were:
that the letter grade A- be added:
86 in favor, 21 not;
that the letter grade 0+ be added:
89 in -favor, 19 against.
