Availability of Faculty Council Minutes
The Registrar was asked to check the Minutes of Faculty Council
and of Senate to see what ruling, if any, had been made regarding the right
of Senators to view the Faculty Council Minutes and agenda papers and to
report back to the next meeting of Senate on his findings.
2.
Publication of Calendars.
The schedule for the publication of the Calendar was established
as follows:
November 6, 1967
All copy submitted to Registrar
December 4, 1967
Copy submitted to Senate for approval
December 11, 1967
Copy submitted to printers
December 27, 1967
First galley proofs from printers
January 5, 1968
Galley proofs returned to printers
January 22, 1968
Page proofs received from printers
January 29, 1968
Page proofs returned to printers
February 29, 1968
Delivery of first shipment.

Special Education Project
The Senate endorsed the recommendation from the Faculty of Education

for a Special Education project as follows:
"that the Faculty of Education endorse the proposal
of the Department of Behavioral Science Foundations
to establish off-campus a Centre for Handicapped Children.
The purposes of this Centre would be three-fold:
1.
The training of new teachers within the Professional
Development Program.
2.
The provision of education for children not normally
accommodated by school districts.
3.
The re-training of existing teachers."

Special Emphasis in Elementary School Physical Education in the Professional
Development Program
Senate received a report from the Faculty of Education regarding a
project for providing special emphasis in elementary school physical education
to students in the Professional Development Program.

Interdisciplinary Program in Kinesiolog

The Senate approved a number of courses for the Interdisciplinary Program
in Kinesiology and also approved the granting of the degree B.Sc.(Kinesiology)for
graduates of this program.
6.
Faculty Council Procedures
A notice of motion was given to Senate which would have the Senate invite
Faculty Council to inform Senate of its procedures.
7.penness of Senate Meetings
A notice of motion was given to Senate requesting that the question
of the closed nature of Senate meetings be re-opened.
8.
Next Meeting
The next meeting of Senate will be held on Monday, August 7, at
7 P.M. in the Board and Senate Chambers, Library Building.
