SENATE ELECTIONS
-
Three elections for Senate have now been completed and the
results are as follows:
1.
For election as the nominee, to be appointed by Senae,
of the Faculty of Arts, repiacin for the completion of
of office of the incumbent, A. MacPherson, to May 31, 1971, one
hundred and twenty-nine votes were cast and J. Hutchinson
the highest number of votes.
2.
For election as the nominee, to be appointed by Sana:e,
of the Faculty of Education, replacing temporarily the incumbent,
S. Wassermann, to April 30, 1969, twenty-three votes were cast
and Leone M. Smith (Mrs. Proc) polled the highest number of vozes.
3.
For election as the nominee, to be ap7ointed by Senate,
of Joint Faculty, replacing temporarily
the inw.bent, M.
Leiowitz,
to April 30, 1969, two hundred and twenty-three votes were polled,
of which one ballot was spoiled. L.A. Boland polled the highest
number of votes.
ACTION
A motion by Senate to seat the candidates would be in
order.
