Subject: Graduate Student Association

Faculty Council at its meeting of 13 February, 1968, recommended

that the Graduate Student Association be recognised as a separate

organisation, subject to the following:

1.

That undergraduate students be excluded from membership

in the Graduate Student Association

2.

That the portion of the Student Activity Fee that has

been paid by the graduate students be turned over to

the Graduate Student Association with the understanding

that they will remit a portion of it to the Student

Society in relation to services rendered by the Society

to the graduate students.

It was also recommended that the Graduate Student Association

consider the advisability of introducing a category of associate membership

for Teaching Assistants who are not registered as graduate students at

Simon Fraser University.
