Senate referred to individual Faculties the question of credit for the 

Education 404 program. 

In

the Faculty of Science, the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, at 

its meeting of March 17th, recommended as follows: 

THAT those courses which would normally fulfill 

the requirement for the B.Sc. degree, and which 

are taken as part of Education 404, should be 

given credit towards the B.Sc. degree. 

This recommendation was brought to the Faculty of Science at its 

meeting of April 14th. I am happy to report that the Faculty moved the 

adoption of the report of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, and this action 

by the Faculty should be so indicated to Senate.

During the discussion of credit for this program within the Faculty 

of Science, 

it was noted that the individual courses would appear on the 

transcript and not just be recorded under the Education 404 umbrella title. 

It was my understanding that this listing of individual courses had 

been agreed upon, and I so indicated to Faculty. 

This memorandum is not intended for further conveyance to Senate, but 

is meant to be a confirmation of the action which I believe has already been 

agreed upon.
