The Faculty of Science, at its meeting of November 19, 1970, approved
the attached recommendation for revision of the Physics requirements
for Biochemistry students.
The recommended requirement for both Majors and Honors program is as
follows:

The revised program allows for a more satisfactory program in Physics for
Biochemistry students. It also permits a freer interchange for students
between majors and honors programs.
This proposal is now forwarded to Senate for approval.

Physics Requirements
The present require;ent for Honors students in addition to the
core program is:
Physics 203-2, 206-2 and 233-2 (6 hours, bringing total
requirement to 12 hours)
Physics 203--2 has a prerequisite structure imposing
an additional course.
The recommended requirement for both Majors and Honors program
is as follows:
Core program Physics 101-3 ad 102-3 or 201-2, 202-2 and 204-2
is
Honors program must include in addition to the core program
202-2, 206-2 and 233-2

PHYSICS REQUIREMENTS FOR BIOCHEMISTRY HONORS
A recommendation from the Subcommittee on Biochemistry
has been forwarded and considered by the Undergraduate Curriculum
Committee. The final recommendation, as recommended, will be
distributed separately.
