BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES - CHANGES IN DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
From: ?
Chemistry 101-3 (General Chemistry) and Chemistry
106-2 (Introductory Laboratory).
To: ?
Chemistry 105-3 (General Chemistry II).
Reason: ?
The Biology Department requires its students to
achieve a standing in Chemistry to the level of
Chemistry 251-3 and 256-2. This includes all
Chemistry courses prerequisite or leading to these
two courses. Although this would imply the in-
clusion of Chemistry 101-3 and 106-2, the depart-
ment has found that most of its entering students
have had B. C. 1-ugh School Chemistry 12 or the
equivalent and are eligible to begin their Chemistry
requirements with Chemistry 104-3 and Chemistry
115-2 (General Chemistry I and General Chemistry
Laboratory). Therefore, it is recommended that
the listing of the two ihtroductory courses be
deleted.
Chemistry 105-3 (General Chemistry II) is a new
course which takes the place of former Chemistry
102-3.
