The Senate Nominating Committee has submitted its report for elections to
be held by Senate at its meeting of Monday, December 7, 1970.
Under Senate regulations, anySenator who wishes to add nominations may do
so by notifying the Secretary of Senate in writing of such nominations, to
reach his office no later than Friday, December 4, 1970. Nominations received
after that time, and nominations from the floor, cannot be accepted.
If a nomination is made, the Senator making the nomination must ensure in
advance that the nominee is willing to stand for nomination.

Senate Appeals Board (SAB)
One faculty Senator to be elected to the Senate Appeals Board as an
alternate to replace A.L.Turnbull, who is resigning from this committee as
40 ?
of December 31, 1970. No specified term of office.

Senate CommitteeExamination & Grading Practices
One student member, and one alternate student member, to be elected to the
Senate Committee on Examination & Grading Practices to replace B.J.Garnett
and D.A.Owen. No specified term of office.

Board of Governors
Election of two members from Senate to replace N.Collins and J.K.Kenward
for the remainder of their terms of office (to May 31, 1972). The committee
submits the following recommendation to Senate:
"that the bringing forward of nominations be deferred but for
not longer than 60 days."
The committee noted that in the event this recommendation is not approved
by Senate, that Senate could proceed through suspension of the rules,
calling for nominations from the floor.
