The enclosed course changes have been approved by the Undergraduate
Curriculum Committee, of the Faculty of Science, and by the Executive
Committee acting on behalf of the Faculty of Science, at its meeting

----------.-!-------
I submit documentation for the deletion of two of our present
core courses, Chemistry 231 and Chemistry 3313 and for their
UbSttUt1Ofl by two new courses, Chem
i
stry
232
and Chemistry
332.
These changes arise fro-,j the revision of Chemistry 102 and 10
which were substituted by the new courses 10
1
1 and 105.
We would like to institute these changes in steps with the
introduction of Chemistry 23
2
in the Fall 1.971 and 332 in the
Spring 197
2. ?
While this does not comply with the lead time
specified by Senate for new courses, the present; proposals are
minimal and simply involve a revisofl of the course content of
two o].cI courses. Thus I see no reason why the present proposals
cannot be implemented as requested.
