Section 50 of the Universities Act states: "The Board .

shall make an annual

report of its transactions to the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, in which

shall be set forth a balance-sheet and a statement of revenue and expendi-

ture for the year ending on the preceding thirt

y -first day of March,

and

such other particulars as the Lieutenant-Governor in Council may from time

to time require. A copy of the annual report so made shall be forthwith

transmitted to the Senate."
