MOTION:
That the recently approved courses, Education 220-3, 230-3,
20-3 be re-titled as follows:
Education 220-3 Psychological Issues in Education
Education 230-3 Philosophical Issues in Education
Education 240_3 Social Issues in Education
RATIONALE:
Review of course titles reveals that the overly long format
of the :itles as approved (Psychological, philosophical, Social
Perspecr:ives on Contemporary Educational Problems) is awkward and
would doubtless result in meaningless transcript notation (Psy. Persp.
Cont. Education Prob.?)
He-titling before these courses have been implemented is less
disruptive than at a later date.
Therefore, it was determined by unanimous vote at the Faculty of
Education meeting of September 8, 1972 to request Senate authorization
for re-titling as indicated above.
