STUDENT ENTRY

Senate, at its last meeting, authorized change in age 

for entry under the Mature Student category and wished report 

back. 

The calendar entry has been prepared as follows: 

"Mature Student Entry 

a) A person who is twenty-three years of age or more, or who 

would reach that age during his first semester in atten- 

dance if he were admitted to the University, and who is 

not eligible for admission under another category may apply 

for admission.

b) Admission under this category is at the discretion of the 

Admissions Board. The Admissions Board must be satisfied 

that the applicant has sufficiently clear objectives in 

mind that he is likely to profit from university studies. 

The Admissions Board may, at its discretion, require appli- 

cants to take appropriate tests. Inquiries regarding 

admission under this category should be directed to the 

Registrar.

Students who did not complete normal secondary school 

requirements who wish to 

take 

advantage of this admission 

procedure are strongly advised to communicate with the 

University at least 12 months prior to the expected date 

of entry in order that appropriate counselling or testing 

may occur."
