At its meeting of 12th November, the Senate Committee
on Undergraduate Studies discussed the attached proposal that S.F.U.
students qualifying for a B.A.,, B.G.S., or
?
B.Sc. degree may have
a specific education minor entered on their records, provided that
the minor is approved by the Faculty of Education and that the
student has also completed EDUC.401/402, EDUC.405 and EDUC.404.
The Committee undertook a lengthy discussion of the nature of
these minors, during which the representative of the Faculty of
Education emphasized that it was the intention of the Faculty
that this regulation should apply to those students who had
completed the Professional Development Program and who wished to
have recognition for specific, professionally oriented minors.
This proposal Is now forwarded to Senate with the
Committee's recommendation that it be approved.

B.ED. Students are required to complete a Major or two Minors outside

B.G.S. Students are not required to complete either a Major or a Minor.
They are required to complete 45 semester hours of Upper Division credit.
