of results of the 75/3 Special Semester.
The recommendation of S.U.A.B. is that the program
be offered at least once a year to students who have been placed
in either of the "Required to Withdraw" or "Permanent Withdrawal"
categories and that the next program be offered in the Fall,

At the beginning of the semester each student was
interviewed and completed tests of interests, ability and
personality. The latter test was repeated at the end of
the semester and the students were each interviewed again.
A statistical analysis of these results will be available
in the next few weeks.
In the meantime an inspection of the results
shows a group of individuals of above-average Intelligence,
with fairly well-defined goals but initially lacking in a
favorable self-concept. They were angry in their frustra-
tion within the "system".
In high school they were able to complete minimum
university entrance requirements (C+) with little effort.
They were not prepared for the disciplined study habits
needed at University.
The end-of-semester personality tests and inter-
views show a marked change in attitude toward self and
toward the University. These students were most grateful
for the opportunity they had been given, they hoped
consideration would be given to other students In similar
difficulties and are prepared to help in any way they can.-
A strong recommendation is made to repeat the
program.
