RULES OF SENATE

Notice is hereby given of the following motion to be

placed for debate at the March meeting of Senate.

MOTION: ?

"That Senate amend the Rules of Senate, Section V

'Meetings,' Subsection A 'Regular' by adding an

Item 7 as follows:

7. The open session of any regular meeting normally

shall terminate not later than 10:00 p.m. The

time may be extended at any meeting by successful

motion for extension, such motion requiring only

a simple affirmative majority of those who vote."

(Note: Alterations to the Rules of Senate require an affirmative

vote by two-thirds of the voting members present to carry.

Notice of motion for change must appear at a regular

meeting prior to the meeting at which a vote is to be

taken. This notice, therefore, will appear on the February

agenda as notice and on the March agenda for vote.)
