Kinesiology Major 

Action taken by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate 

Studies at its meeting of November 22, 1977, gives rise to 

the following motion: 

MOTION: 

That Senate approve, and recommend approval to 

the Board of Governors, the proposed change in 

the wording of requirements for a Major in 

Kinesiology from: 

"For Major students, the Science Core 

Program specifies that the following 

courses be taken during the first 

four levels (semesters) :" 

to:

"For Major students, the Science Core 

Program specifies that the following 

courses must be taken,and will nor- 

mally be taken during the first four 

levels (semesters) :" 

NOTE - Although a student must fulfill all requirements of 

the Science Core Program, he/she will not be penalized 

for completing those requirements later than his/her 

fourth level. The timing will become a matter of clear 

advice rather than requirement.

Requirements for a Major 

At a meeting held on November 1, 1977, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies 

Undergraduate Curriculum Committee approved the addition of the words, under- 

lined below, to the first sentence under the heading "Requirements for a Major 

in Kinesiology", 

"For major students, the science core program specifies 

that the following courses must be taicen..and will normally 

be taken during the first four levels (semesters) :" 

Would you please include this change with the Kinesiology calendar material 

previously forwarded to you, and place this item on the agenda for the Senate 

Committee on Undergraduate Studies.
