C
ADDITION OF COURSE NUMBERS TO WOMEN'S STUDIES 301-3 RATIONALE:
The Women's Studies Program has been offering one or two
3
credit
special topics courses each tern, and this causes some donfusion at the
Registrar's Office, because students are permitted to receive credit for
more than one
301
course provided that the topics are sufficiently
different. Since many students have been takingtwo or more of these
courses, adding the new numbers will greatly reduce the flow of memos
between the Registrar's Office and the Women's Studies Co-ordinator.
Six numbers will ensure that repetition does not occur within a year.

ADDITION OF COIJRSE NUMBER TO WO-EN'S STUDIES 300-5 RATIONALE:
This addition will avoid the same problem described for.Women's Studies
301-3. Women's Studies 300-5 will be offered, at most, twice a year, and
therefore one new number will be sufficient.
