GERMAN
ADD:
Insert before UPPER DIVISION COURSES
Up to 14 credits of Lower Division German
courses (only GERM 102-4, 103-4, 20l-3 and 202-3)
may be challenged for credit. Neither
GERM 205-1 nor GERM 140, 250, 408, 460 or
461 may be used to challenge any of these.
GERM 202-3 and GERM 240-3 may be used to
challenge GERM 201-3 and lower courses,
but not each other. All other 300 and 400
level German courses are taught in German
and any of them may be used to obtain
challenge credit, provided a grade' of at
least "C" is obtained.
RUSSIAN
ADD:
Insert after listing of Minor, requirements
and before UPPER DIVISION COURSES
Up to 12 credits of Lower Division Russian
courses may be challenged for credit.
These courses include only RUSS 100-3,
101-3, 201-3, and 202-3. Students wishing
to challenge any of these courses must
obtain a grade of at least "C" in the
subsequent course or in RUSS 301-3.
SPANISH
ADD:
Insert after listing of Minor'requirements
and before UPPER DIVISION COURSES
Up to 14 credits of Lower Division Spanish
courses may be challenged for credit.. These
courses include only SPAN 102-4, 103-4, 201-3
and 202-3. Students wishing to challenge any
of these courses must obtain a grade of at
least "C" in any following course up to and
including Spanish 300 level courses, except
SPAN 340, 341 and 360.

The Department wishes to state in the
calendar the Course Challenge regulations so
all students can have access to them.
