Changes
Action undertaken by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate
Studies at its meeting on June 1st, 1982 gave rise to the following
motion.
MOTION:
"That Senate approve and recommend approval to the
Board of Governors, as set forth In S.82-68
the request from Economics that students who change
their goals from major in Business to joint major
in Business and Economics and who have completed
BUS. 307-3 with a grade of B- or better be permitted
to Count BUS. 307-3 in lieu of the requirement of
ECON 301-5 on the condition that they complete an
additional 5 hours in Economics."

The Faculty of Arts Curriculum Committee at its meeting of April 22,
1982 passed the following motion:
That the Faculty of Arts Curriculum Committee approves
the request from Economics that students who change their
goals from Major in Business to Joint Major in Business
and Economics and who have completed BUS. 307-3 with a
grade of B- or better be permitted to count BUS. 307-3 in
lieu of the requirement of ECON 301-5 on the condition
that they complete an additional 5 hours in Economics
As students cannot receive credit for both BUS. 307-3 and ECON 301-5
the Department of Economics has decided to allow good students to substitute
a course for ECON 301-5 rather than taking it for no credit.
