The following Management and Systems Science curriculum changes are
required because of curriculum changes made by the Departments of Economics
and Business Administration. These changes should be incorporated into the
1982/83 edition of the University Calendar.
I. Lower Division requirements: (see page 420 of current calendar)

settings. It explores issues of motivation, group and

This course will examine theories of organization which use the
organization as a, basic unit of analysis. It will show the
structure and internal processes of an organization are linked
to and partially determined by forces in the external
environment of the organization. Contextual factors such as the
technology and corporate strategy of the organization will also
be examined. ?

Prerequisites: BUS. 270-3 (formerly COMM

Students with credit for BUS. 3713 (formerly COMM 371-3) may
take
one only
of either BUS. 372 or BUS 374 for additional
credit.
Therefore, BUS. 372-3 and 374-3 should replace BUS. 371-3 and 373-5.
