Simon Fraser University, and
To—he—M-i-n-i-ste-r--o-f--Un-i-v-er-s-i-t-i-e s-,--S c-i-e-n-ce--and--Commu-n-i-c at-i-on-s
Province of British Columbia:
I have examined the balance sheet of Simon Fraser University
as at 31 March 1981 and the statements of revenue and
expenditure and changes in fund balances, expenditures by
fund, changes in appropriated fund balances and ancillary
enterprise operations for the year then ended. My examina-
tion was made in accordance with generally accepted auditing
standards, and accordingly included such tests and other
procedures as I considered necessary in the circumstances.
In my opinion, these financial statements present fairly the
financial position of the University as at 31 March 1981 and
the results of its operations and the changes in its fund
balances for the year then ended in accordance with account-
ing principles generally accepted for universities applied
on a basis consistent with that of the preceding year.
