The Women's Studies Program would-Tike to change the calendar
entry for W.S. 301, prerequisites from

60 credit hours" to:
'U.S.
100 and
60 credit hours".
The addition of W.S. 100 is expected to h1p fissure better prepared
students and to reduce some of the problems associated with the large
number of students who first take W.S. 300-level Courses, then do not wish
to take the W.S. 100 course required for a minor in Women's Studies.

Attached is a request from the Coordinator of the Women's
Studies Program-to change the prerequisites for W.S. 301-3,
Special Topics in Women's Studies, from.
"Prerequisite: 60redit hours"
TO
"Prerequisite: W.S. 100-3 and 60 credit hours".
The foregoing change was approved by the Faculty of
Interdisciplinary Studies Undergraduate Curriculum Committee at
a meeting held on Tuesday, May 19, 1981.
Please place this request on the next agenda of the Senate
Committee on Undergraduate Studies for consideration.
