The course History 432-3, "The Canadian West", which is an optional course
in the B.C. Studies Certificate Program, has been made into two courses: History
435-3, "The Canadian Prairies" and History 436-3, "British Columbia". The chairman
of the B.C. Studies Certificate Program Steering Committee, Robin Fisher, has advised
me that due to these changes History 432-3 should be deleted from the program and
History 436-3 put in its place.
This change represents no change in either the spirit or substance of the
Certificate program and I trust the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies will
approve the substitution.
