Action undertaken by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate
Studies at its meeting of March 10, 1981 gives rise to the following
motion:
MOTION: That Senate approve and recommend approval to the
Board of Governors, as set forth in S.81-

for those who will undertake a Major Or Honors or
Minor in Economics and for those who will undertake
a Joint Major or Joint Honors in Business
Administration and Economics;
ii)
the upper division requirements for a Major and require-
. ments for Honors in Economics, and for a Joint Major
or for a Joint Honors in Business Administration and
Economics.

A number of revisions recently were approved by Senate
relating to the programs in Business Administration primarily. The
majority of the present changes are technical, following from the
earlier actions but in some instances requiring formal approval now
by Senate and the Board. Adjustments were required in particular to the
Joint Major and Joint Honors requirements in Business Administration and
Economics.

As you requested, I have outlined in the statements below our intentions for the
Prerequisites and Special Instructions for BUS. 372-3 and 374-3, for BUS. 481-3 and
482-3, and for BUS. 472-3, 488-3, and 489-3. After I left your office, I again spoke
with Professor Hoyt and we thank you for your understanding--of our desire that in each
Instance the calendar language should reflect accurately our intentions and our concern
