Recommendation made by the Senate Undergraduate Admissions 

Board and the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies lead to the 

following motion: 

MOTION: ? 

"That Simon Fraser University continue to participate 

as in recent years in the English Placement Test project 

for an additional period to June 1981." 

If approved the intent is that Simon Fraser University continue to 

participate as in recent years with the Ministry of Education and 

other institutions for a further period of time. Those who complete 

B.C. Grade XII graduation in 1980 or up to June 1981 who enter SFU 

directly from secondary school would be required to take the test. 

Present regulations include those who completed in 1977, 1978 and 

1979.

At a meeting of the Senate Undergraduate Admissions 

Board held on March 18th, the Board passed the 

following motion:-- 

That Simon Fraser University continue to 

participate in the English Placement Test 

project for an additional two-year period 

ending in June, 1981. 

The Board suggested that by 1981, an attempt be 

made to evaluate the usefulness of the test. 

This motion is referred to SCUS for action.
