Regulations
Facu.lty. .o.f.
Date.. 1.981-112.4......................................
The Faculty of Arts Curriculum Committee at its meeting of November
19, 1981 approved a change in the wording of the general regulations of
the Faculty of Arts on page 96 to remove the ambiguity in the current
entry. The entry should read: "If students change goal from one Faculty
to another but do not change their Honors, Major, or Minor declaration,
then although the date of the change of faculty will be one which governs
the Faculty of Arts regulations, the original declaration date for Honors,
Major, or Minor will be the one which governs the Department(s) regulations."
Will you please place this item on the agenda of a S.C.U.S. meeting
Thank you.

CURRICULUM REVISION
FACULTY OF ARTS REGULATIONS
p.
96 ?
Change of Regulations
?
FROM: CHANGE OF PROGRAM
Students may apply to change their degree
programs at any time prior to graduation, but
are advised that changes after the fifth or
sixth le
y
el often require extra credit hours
in
order to complete all the requirements for
the new degree pr
p
gram. Also, students who
change their degree programs are subject to
the regulations of the Calendar in effect at
the time of the change. A change from B.Ed.
or B.G.S. degree programs to the B.A. program
will be considered a change of program, even
though the Major or Honors subject remain un-
changed.

RATIONALE: The present statement is ambiguous and
partially incorrect. The change clarifies
the statement and permits students to continue
their Honors, Major, or Minor programs un-
changed when they move from another Faculty
to the Faculty of Arts.
