Graduate Studies Committee from January 1982 to

December 1982.

The Senate Graduate Studies Committee acted with delegated

power from Senate to:-

Approve:

1.

Recommendations for Admission under Special Arrangements..

Eighteen recommendation were considered; sixteen were

approved and two were referred back.

2.

Graduate curriculum changes in the Departments of

Computing Science, Psychology, Geography, History,

Languages, Literature and Linguistics and in the Faculty

of Education.

3.

Approval of new programmes - Ph.D. in Communication

- MBA Programme

- M.A. (Women's Studies)

4.

Approval and request to Departments to assist in

improving the quality of Thesis Abstracts.

5.

Discussion on Special Student Status

Discussion of Proposed Revised Procedures for Curriculum

Approval - approved, in principle, the changes proposed.
