Action undertaken by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies
at its meeting of December 13, 1983 gives rise to the following motion:
MOTION:
"That Senate approve and recommend approval to the Board Of
Governors, as set forth in S.84-6 , the proposed
Changes to list of lower division courses for
a minor in Women's Studies."
FOR INFORMATION:
Acting under delegated authority at its meeting of December 13,
1983 the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies approved the proposed
Change of prerequisites - W.S. 400-5 - Advanced Women's Studies
W.S. 401-5 - Research Project.

At a meeting of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies
Undergraduate Curriculum Committee held today the following
changes to the Women's Studies calendar entry were reviewed
and approved:
1.
Addition of:
W.S. 204-3 Women, Science and Technology
W.S. 205-3 Women and Popular Culture
to the list of lower division courses of which minor
students must choose two, so that the list reads as
follows:
W.S. 200-3 Women's Roles: A Comparative Study
W.S. 201-3 Women in Canada 1600-1920
W.S. 202-3 Women in Canada 1920 to the Present
W.S. 203-3 Female Roles in Contemporary Society
W.S. 204-3 Women, Science and Technology
W.S. 205-3 Women and Popular Culture
2.
Change to the prerequisites of both W.S. 400-5 and
W.S. 401-5:

W.S. 100 and any two of W.S. 200, 201, 202, 203.
TO:

W.S. 100 and any two 200 numbered Women's Studies
courses.
