Upper Division
FROM: Additional courses in the various departments at SFU are designated

Additional -courses in the various departments at SFU are designated
for inclusion in the Program; a list of these is available from the
Coordinator of the Program. Other courses which may have a highWomen's
Studies content will be considered for deignated credit toward the
Minor in Women's Studies upon application by the student to the Coordi-
nating Committee. Only five hours credit for designated courses will
count toward the Minor.
RATIONALE:
Rather than dealing with requests for designated credit toward
the Minor on an ad hoc basis, the Committee prefers to set an upper
limit of one-third of the total upper division requirements. This
proportion permits students to explore special interests without threaten-
ing the coherence of their Minor.
