RATIONALE
Recent experience has shown that the absence of BUS 478 does
• not handicap the student who has completed the upper division
core courses. Because BUS. 478 can be taken only after 90 hours,
the BUS. 478 prerequisite has artifically restricted entry into
BUS. 479, which is offered about once a year.

The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, at its meeting on Monday, December
9th, 1985, approved the above change in the calendar description.

The Faculty of Business Administration proposes that SCUS consider the

RATIONALE
It is not possible to cover the necesary material in three hours
of class time. ?
In a number of instabces in the past, the course
has been given in four hours of class time.

As well, students ?
are expected to conduct a feasibility study on the establishment
of a small business.

This results in a work load well beyond ?
the three hours now allocated.
The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, at its meeting on Monday, December
