submitted by the Senate Nominating Committee for election by Senate
at its meeting of September 12, 1988 and are not open for further
nominations from Senators.

b) SENATORS ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT NOMINATIONS FOR THE
FOLLOWING VACANCY. It has become necessary to replace E.
Almassy on the undernoted Committee and, under Senate
regulations, any Senator who wishes to submit nominations may do
so by notifying the Secretary of Senate in writing of such
nominations, to reach this office no later than Friday. September 9th.
Nominations received after that time cannot be accepted. If a
nomination is made, the Senator making the nomination must ensure
in advance that the nominee is willing to stand for election.
