As promised at the May Senate meeting, I am pleased to
provide data on the composition of persons recommended for
Master's or Doctoral degrees from S.F.U. in 88-1. These data
were collected by Ms. M. McGinn of the Registrar's Office.
Without discriminating between Masters' and Ph.D. graduates,
I divided the 99 graduates into the four categories shown below:

There were three persons who received all three degrees
(Bachelors', Masters', Doctorate) from S.F.U. If a more detailed
breakdown would be useful, it would be possible to refine these
data further.
It is interesting to compare these results with the data I
reported to you in January 1986 on the composition of the
graduate student body as of the end of semester 85-2:
