RE Revision to Membership -

DATE: ?

Senate Library Committee
In March 1986, Senate approved the addition of the Vice-President,
Research and Information Systems as ex-officio member and Chair of the
Senate Library Committee. The Vice-President, Academic continued as an
ex-officio member of the Committee. This recognized the change in the
reporting structure of the Library within the University. Previously the
Library had been within the portfolio of the Vice-President, Academic who
chaired the Committee.
Re-organization of the
Vice-Presidential
responsibilities in the Summer of
1990 once again places the responsibility for the Library within the
portfolio of the Vice-President, Academic and it seems appropriate that the
Vice-President, Academic should be named as Chair of the Senate Library
Committee.
